In coordination with EU DisinfoLab, CEDMO has prepared a factsheet on the disinformation landscape in the Czech Republic. The factsheet offers a comprehensive overview of the disinformation environment, including the main emblematic cases and narratives.
The report begins by framing the Czech Republic’s vulnerability to disinformation and continues by discussing the disinformation narratives most prevalent in the Czech Republic, including anti-EU rhetoric, scepticism toward NATO, and vaccine misinformation. Other recurring themes focus on stoking fear of migrants and minorities. These narratives are strategically designed to polarize society and undermine trust in democratic institutions.
Finally, the factsheet focuses on the overview of the fact-checkers and debunkers, as well as notable journalists and finishes with a discussion of the policy and legal framework concerning disinformation in the Czech Republic.
The factsheet is now available on our website, in the section Studies, or on the EU DisinfoLab website.
