Almost thirty speakers from academia and politics attended the conference News Media, Platform Politics and Changing Information “Order” in Europe, held on May 12 – 13 in Lithuania at the Vytautas Magnus University. Interesting and valuable speeches were divided into three panels: Aims, Methods, Successes and Countermeasures of Disinformation and Propaganda in the Times of High Choices and Rich Media Environment; Platformization and Reactions to Social/Political Crises in Europe; and Information Disequilibria in Contemporary Europe: Responses to Information Disorders. CEDMO´s fact-checking and research activities and a glimpse on regulatory issues in Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia were presented by Adriana Dergam from Charles University, Prague, in the second panel: Beyond Fact-Checking: Restoring Trust in Central Europe.
