He serves as vice-chair of the Advisory Council of the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO), Europe’s primary initiative against disinformation, and as Advisory Board member of GADMO (German Austrian Digital Media Observatory).”
Roman Imielski

Former editorial secretary, foreign and political editor of „Gazeta Wyborcza’, editor-in-chief of the Wyborcza.pl website, author of numerous articles on Polish politics, Russia, Ukraine, the European Union and transatlantic relations. Commentator on international and Polish affairs in electronic media. Roman has worked for “Gazeta Wyborcza” since 1995, initially in the local editorial office in Katowice, and since 2001 in the head office in Warsaw as deputy head of the sports section. A historian by education, a graduate of the University of Silesia, and co-author of the book “The most important Kremlin game” about the football World Cup in Russia. Lecturer of journalism at SWPS University in Warsaw. Member of the international media organisations INMA and WAN-IFRA.
Silvio Waisbord
Professor at the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University, President and Fellow of the International Communication Association
Silvio Waisbord serves as a Professor at the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University. Currently, he holds the position of President and Fellow of the International Communication Association. Additionally, he is the Editor of the International Journal of Communication. Having authored and edited nineteen books, along with numerous articles on journalism and politics, communication studies, media policy, and communication for social change, he is a prominent figure in the field. His forthcoming works include Introduction to Journalism (Polity) and the co-edited volume (with TJ Billard), Public Scholarship in Communication Studies (University of Illinois Press, 2024). He served as Director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University (2020-2023). Also, he is the former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Communication and the International Journal of Press/Politics. Waisbord received a Licenciatura in Sociology from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a PhD in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego.
Stanislav Matějka
Head of the Analytical Department at the Slovak Council for Media Services
Stanislav Matějka was elected as European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) Vice-Chairperson at the 57th EPRA Meeting on 1st June 2023 and joined the EPRA Board for the first time. He is the Head of the Analytical Department at the Slovak Council for Media Services, the national regulatory authority for audiovisual media services. In 2024, he served as Chair of Subgroup 3 of the European Regulators Group for Audiovisual Media Services, which was dedicated to countering disinformation and strengthening democracy in the digital environment. He previously served as a Hybrid Threats and Strategic Communication expert at the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and as an analyst focusing on trends in terrorism studies within GLOBSEC Policy Institute, a Slovak think-tank.
Agnieszka Legucka
Senior Research Fellow on Russia at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM)
Agnieszka Legucka’s expertise includes Russian foreign and internal policy, and security issues i.e. conflicts, disinformation, and hybrid threats. D.Litt. of Security Sciences. She is an associate professor at the Faculty of Finance and International Relations, Academy of Finance and Business Vistula in Warsaw. She is also a deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine “Sprawy Międzynarodowe” [International Affairs]. Last publications include: Disinformation, Narratives and Memory Politics in Russia and Belarus (ed. Agnieszka Legucka, Robert Kupiecki), Routledge 2022; and Disinformation and the Resilience of Democratic Societies (ed. Robert Kupiecki, Agnieszka Legucka), PISM, 2023.
Ján Matejka
Director of the Institute of State and Law of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Ján Matejka’s expertise lies in the relationship between law and new technologies, with a specialization in artificial intelligence law, e-government, electronic signatures, information security, and the protection of personal data. He teaches at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague. He studied at the law faculties of Manchester Metropolitan University School, the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, and at the Université d’été in Granada. He is the author of over a hundred professional and popular works on Internet and computer law and has led several grant projects.
Todor Galev
Director of Research at the Center for the Study of Democracy
Todor conducts sociological and economic research on foreign political influence, disinformation, state capture, and strategic corruption, with a focus on Southeast Europe and Bulgaria. Since 2016, he has contributed to the development and implementation of the original CSD Kremlin Playbook methodology, now applied in over 20 European countries to assess Russia’s economic footprint and how the Kremlin leverages its economic presence to influence decision-making. He specializes in uncovering the links between foreign interference and disinformation, as well as how both domestic and foreign actors use media capture to expand their political influence through information operations.
