CEDMO TRENDS is a unique longitudinal panel research conducted over a period of 30 months.
The research will offer exceptional insight into the evolution of the population’s behaviour in consuming different types of media content, focusing on particular types of information disorders such as misinformation and disinformation. These not only undermine public trust in the institutions necessary for the functioning of a pluralistic democracy but can also amplify individual infodemias, as we have seen during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lessons learned during the research can make existing media education and pre-bunking strategies more effective. This will strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities and marginalised sections of society.
