
Václav Moravec
Lead Coordinator, CEDMO
Václav is the main coordinator and chairs the strategic board of the CEDMO consortium. He is a researcher at the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University and at the Department of Production at FAMU in Prague. He specializes in the transformation of audiovisual media, journalistic ethics, automated journalism and artificial intelligence journalism. He is the principal investigator of several European and Czech research grants (e.g. DIGITAL-2023-DEPLOY-04, project 101158609). He is a member of the executive committee of the prg.ai initiative for artificial intelligence.

Aleksandra Sobczak
Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Gazeta Wyborcza
Aleksandra Sobczak is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’, Poland’s leading opinion daily, and Head of Strategy and Development at Wyborcza.pl, one of the country’s most successful digital media platforms. She oversees the homepage of Wyborcza.pl and leads several editorial teams, including Wyborcza.biz (economy), Nauka i Zdrowie (science and health), as well as Wysokie Obcasy (women’s magazine).
Her career in journalism began at Polish public television (TVP), where she worked as an economic reporter. For over two decades, she has shaped the editorial direction of ‘Gazeta Wyborcza’, first as editor and later head of the economic desk. She also served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of ‘Wysokie Obcasy’, where she led the development of Wysokieobcasy.pl, and launched the ‘Warsaw Magazine’ while managing the Warsaw edition of ‘Wyborcza’.
Under her leadership, Wyborcza.pl has become a pioneer in digital transformation, successfully building a robust base of digital subscribers and setting new standards for quality journalism in Central Europe.
Aleksandra is deeply committed to the media’s democratic mission, with a strong focus on civil society, human rights, and countering disinformation. Her current professional interests center on emerging technologies, particularly those driven by artificial intelligence.

Christine Tresignie
Managing Director – Ipsos European Public Affairs
Christine has more than two decades of experience in research, much of it in the social sciences and for governmental and academic clients. She is Managing Director of Ipsos European Public Affairs, where she leads a multidisciplinary team studying public opinion and societal trends across Europe. In parallel, as Head of Public Affairs in Europe, she connects local insights to European and global policy debates, contributing to the development of evidence-based strategies on complex issues such as disinformation, trust, and citizen engagement. Her work emphasizes the importance of grounding policy in empirical evidence and comparative research. By integrating diverse perspectives, she supports institutions in addressing challenges that cut across national boundaries.

Milena Králíčková
Rector of Charles University
Milena Králíčková graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen at Charles University in Prague, after which she worked at the Department of Histology and Embryology and at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the University hospital and Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen. In 1997 she was awarded by The Fulbright Commission Scholarship for the academic year 1998/1999 and she has worked at The Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard in Boston, U.S.A. in the team of Reproductive Endocrine Unit. In 2016, she became a professor of medical histology and embryology. Since August 2023, Milena Králíčková has also been the chair of the Czech Rectors Conference.

Lenka Kabrhelová
Host of the Seznam Zprávy podcasts 5:59, Moderator of the Grand Opening
Journalist, presenter, founder and host of the Seznam Zprávy podcasts 5:59 and MDŽ. She worked as a presenter, reporter and foreign correspondent for Czech Radio in Russia (2008–2013) and the USA (2013–2017), her reporting led her to almost 20 countries. She is a founder of the award-winning Czech Radio podcast Vinohradská 12. She is the recipient of the 2020 Karel Havlíček Borovský Prize. In 2017, she received the prestigious Nieman Fellowship in journalism at Harvard University, where she focused on media polarization and Central Europe’s relations with Russia and the United States.

Krisztina Stump
Head of Unit Media Convergence and Social Media in DG CNECT
Krisztina Stump is Head of Unit at the European Commission, in charge of social media policy and the Commission’s policy work on fighting online disinformation and information integrity. She fostered the EU Code of Practice on Disinformation – now converted into a Code of Conduct under the Digital Services Act – and steered the work of its Task-force related to the 2024 European Parliamentary Elections. Her responsibilities also include supporting media literacy as well as research projects fostering societal resilience and information integrity. Krisztina holds Master of Laws degrees with a focus on Media Law from Columbia Law School (New York) and from Humboldt University (Berlin) as well as a Master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies (Budapest).
