Since the start of the Russo-Ukrainian war in 2014, the embattled Ukraine has begun a rapid process of disengagement from any form of Russian influence. This phenomenon began to accelerate all the more after the outbreak of a full-scale Russian invasion in 2022. Changes have not escaped any area of Ukrainian society. From religion to language, to cultural production or gastronomy. This “New Ukraine” seeks to create a new separate identity that is as far removed as possible from the previously culturally close Russia.
