The activities of the Central European Digital Media Observatory (CEDMO) in Poland were presented at the EU-HYBNET meeting organized by the Polska Platforma Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego (PPBW) in Warsaw.
Karina Stasiuk-Krajewska of SWPS University, head of CEDMO in Poland, was invited to present the activities of the Central European Digital Media Observatory during a Working Meeting for public institutions, academia, NGOs and experts in the area of combating hybrid threats. The meeting was organized by the Polska Platforma Bezpieczeństwa Wewnętrznego (PPBW) under the EU-HYBNET international grant. The event was attended by representatives of about 20 institutions (research, public, NGOs, fact-checking portals, technology institutions, think tanks, etc.).
The presentation of research results and reports and educational activities carried out at CEDMO received a lot of interest and positive feedback from the invited guests.
“This meeting is certainly an opportunity to increase CEDMO’s visibility in Poland – which I am very happy about. But networking is also an important aspect of the event. I hope that the relationships established will translate into the development of CEDMO and the implementation of further joint initiatives to counter disinformation in Poland,” Karina Stasiuk-Krajewska concludes.
