The topic of environmental protection has been part of the public debate for several decades. Whether and to what extent individual countries and individual societies should take care of their impacts on nature is constantly being examined. An important part of this phenomenon is the measurement of public opinion, whether it is more inclined towards nature protection or more inclined towards higher economic growth. According to the World Values Survey (WVS) measurements between 1997 and 2022 in the V4 countries, we can observe a significant shift in Hungary in favour of environmental protection. The opposite may be the views of young people in Poland, who, on the other hand, strongly support economic growth at the expense of environmental protection. For details, see our new Coffee Beans.
