Fake News, Fake Reviews and Fake Users: How to Discern the Fakery Using Intelligent Methods

With colleagues from Slovak University of Technology, Comenius University and Technical University in Košice, the research team from the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT) has published a summary of some of their previous research activities, which aim to characterise and reveal misinformation (fake news) and antisocial behaviour (such as hate speech or trolling). The publication aims to overcome these toxic phenomena in the digital environment by using intelligent and knowledge-oriented methods, especially machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing, and complementing them with methods commonly used in the digital social sciences and humanities.
