V4 residents’ on the impact of immigrants on the development of their country

The sharp increase in asylum applications in some EU countries in 2015 signalled a new trend that is likely to be steadily present in EU countries. However, the arrival of migrants is only the first stage of this new reality. The way in which members of host societies perceive the integration of migrants reflects their overall attitude towards migrants and the outcome of integration. An interesting result of the 2022 World Values Survey (WVS) study in the countries of the Visegrad Group and the fact that with the exception of the Czech Republic, young people (up to 29 years old) have a more favourable attitude towards the impact of foreign immigrants.
