Grzegorz Rzeczkowski, Chief Investigative Reporter at the oldest Polish weekly opinion magazine Polityka and lecturer at Collegium Civitas (participating in social sciences, media and humanities research at CEDMO), presented his overview of the Russian influence in Belarus-Polish border at the EU DG NEAR JAI-Net2021 annual meeting. Mr Rzeczkowski presented his views within the session titled “Disinformation as a threat to democracy: manipulative narratives and interferences across sectors”. This session was devoted to the potential threats posed to democracy by disinformation and its ramifications, including its effects on elections, migration, and the rise of violent extremism and populist movements.
